Maru the Japanese Cat - Famous & Funny

People love cats. And Maru is no exception - he's HUGE in Japan where he and his owner are from.

Why? He's cute and he really likes to get into stuff.

You'll see what I mean. This video of him jumping in and out of cardboard box is fun to watch:



Wow! And when he can't get completely into something, he at least wants to get his head into it.





Quiet hilarity. And when he's not getting in and out of things, he rests in the sink:

Funny Cat Videos

Let's start off the week with some laughs shall we? I tested out a few clips of funny cat videos on YouTube with my two little daughters, and the following won by a landslide (rated by giggles)...probably because it's a best of the best compilation from America's Funniest Home Videos and YouTube. Cute Things Falling Asleep

This will make you smile.

There is a blog out there called "Cute Things Falling Asleep," where short videos are posted of (mostly) babies, puppies and kittens...falling asleep. Videos are rated from 1-5 both for cuteness and sleepiness.

CNN recently did a short piece on it too - with some good clips. I like the part where Nick Malis (the owner of the blog) talks about rating a baby video "2" for cuteness...but the mother of the baby thought the baby was a little cuter than that!
